Cape Cod is such a special place. Everyone in Massachusetts travels there for their summer holidays. Each family has a different town that they call their own. My family would stay in Dennis or Yarmouth each summer. We would meet up with our friends and have huge cookouts. There were about 7 of us kids that were all around the same age and it was perfect. We would fly kites, collect seashells and hermit crabs, go fishing, build sandcastles. The best feeling was crawling into bed feeling a little sandy, a little sun kissed and being so excited for the next day. All of these things make up the memories of my childhood.
This recent trip was flooded with feelings of nostalgia. My mom and I drove past all of our old beach cottages that we've had over the years and reminisced. It was so nice.
I used this trip to find some floral inspiration for future paintings and illustrations. My poor mother pulled over along side way too many white picket fences with beach roses so that I could snap a shot or... seven. She's a true champion.
The real icing on the cake of my vacation is happening right now. Listening to the crickets outside my window. Perfection.
Friday the 13th A N D a full moon A N D the Olsen twins' birthday? Too much to be excited about! Too much!!
This beautifully foggy train ride is putting me in the mood for some tarot, candles, Prosecco and friendship! Throw some Fleetwood Mac on the record player and we're golden. Tonight will be perfection.

If there were ever a company that would make my stomach drop and these hazel eyes tear up a bit it would have to be Saipua. Now I know that seems dramatic, especially since I was only introduced to them today (of course I had to share), but wow. This brand is like a little piece of heaven.
They are a family owned business that started as a soap company. Now, as you can see, they have mastered floral design and opened their own farm so that they can grow their own flowers. You must visit their website. The photos are so inspiring and beautiful.
I am super intrigued by their Little Flower School. I think this is something that would make me smile on the daily. And what do you know! They're located right in Brooklyn.
A huge thank you to little Miss Lauren Schindel who found this treasure and knew it was the website of my dreams. Lauren, let's set a date to go explore!
